FAQ

  1. Do I need to live in Plum to participate?

    No.
While this is a community initiative, all you need is a tie to Plum to participate in the program posted on this blog.  Almost anything can count as a tie--living in Plum, having lived in Plum, being related to someone who lives in Plum, participating in a group or activity based in Plum, spending a lot of time with people from Plum, or simply passing through Plum often.  If you can find no link to Plum but still want to participate, feel free to email me, and we can discuss some possibilities.

  2. What if I have more than a pair of stories?

    That's okay.
I suspect that we will have many "groups" of stories--a mother and her daughters, a coach and his team, grandparent-child-grandchild, etc.--and we welcome them!
  3. Do I need to be part of a group to participate?

    No.
I only need to receive your stories and a signed submission agreement for you to participate.

  4. Do I need to attend a meeting or class to participate?

    No.
I only need to receive your stories and a signed submission agreement for you to participate.

  5. Can I submit more than one story?

    Yes.
Just as I expect that we will have groups of stories, I also suspect that some (mothers or fathers, for example) will be asked to be part of multiple pairs.  Any entries will simply be posted with the group of the same topic.

  6. Do I need to follow a form?

    No.
Stories should clearly state the day you remember and should be no more than 1000 words.
